While I sit and relax in 28 degree heat and contemplate a dip in the pool, my family and friends in Melbourne are about to die!!!!!!
They have had 3 days in a row over 43 degrees. Today it is meant to be 37!!!!!!
To add to the heat, the power keeps going off and staying off for long periods of time. A friend of mine had no power from Wed night at 9.30pm until 12.00pm Thursday.
Crown Casino in the city lost all power last night and closed down. Friends were meant to see the Countdown Spectacular. Needless to say they didn't get to see it but they couldn't get their car out of the carpark either!!!!!
I am thankful for the pool and refrigerated air con about now!!!! We are expecting some mid 30's here over the next couple of days, but with thunderstorms attached - rain + heat = humidity - I hate humidity!!!!!!!!!!!!

Humidity is the worst. That is why I am back in a drier environment. Of course the dry air is bad on my skin.
ReplyDeleteI am jealous of the temps you are getting. It is a high of 2C today which is nice but I know the cold is coming back.
